Going to be a few DNA posts over the next day or two. That’s in addition to the ones posted yesterday and today. Updated Genealogical DNA Testing Companies and Current DNA Sales October 1, 2019.
For example, MyHeritageDNA – https://www.myheritage.com/dna has extended its Autumn Sale for another 4 days (so roughly October 6, 2019).
While National Geographic’s Geno 2.0 Next Project has ended, kits are still available on Amazon – https://www.amazon.com/National-Geographic-DNA-Test-Kit/dp/B07BSKZFDD/ with prices around $40 – $60, depending on when you check. Check with National Geographic before buying a test on Amazon although you should be covered by Amazon‘s refund policy if there is an issue.
I mentioned recently that 23andMe – https://www.23andme.com/ is having a sale through October 15, 2019. They have added some new Ethnicity updates yesterday that I will blog about tomorrow. Also, they updated Terms of Service – https://www.23andme.com/about/tos/ and Privacy – https://www.23andme.com/privacy/?vip=true.
WeGene – https://www.wegene.com/en/ looks to be adding a $99 test to their line-up shortly. Buy now not active in the following link, but here’s more information – https://www.wegene.com/en/buy/.
Helix – https://www.helix.com/ has a bad habit of adding and removing tests without warning. Plus, unless they have changed, you have to hunt around different parts of their website to find all the tests they offer. Some of the tests may be free if you previously tested with them.
