Chandrayaan-2 Update – Space Saturdays September 28, 2019

It looks like NASA has not found the Chandrayaan-2 lunar lander, or it has, depending on which source you read. The Moon has about two (2) weeks of night followed by an equal amount of daylight and where Vikram is thought to have landed has been in the night phase for about a week. NASA will do another look next month when it should be in daylight. Based on India’s Space Agency, ISRO, there are thermal images from the orbiting Chandrayaan-2 so they have a good idea about where Vikram is. I will do an update once more is known.
