Encourage Authors, Bloggers, and Vloggers to Include Social Media Links September 13, 2019

If you are a blogger, vlogger, and author, I strongly encourage you to include links to other your other social media accounts. For example, My Social Media Links which are also included on my About page: https://upsdownsfamilyhistory.wordpress.com/about/. I included YouTube, Twitch, and Vimeo links even though I have no videos or audios on any of them yet. I need to add Discord later.

If you are an author or planning on becoming an author down the road, best to start a blog sooner than later and provide updates on your writing regularly. I would encourage a vlog as well as long as you have equipment you can make decent videos. Seen plenty of vloggers who use sub-standard audio/visual recording equipment that makes it difficult for people to watch or listen to their videos. If you use Facebook, you can create a Facebook page for your blog, vlog, or author endeavors. Facebook limits you to one Facebook account/individual and I know many people who have no problem adding more than one account. In terms of pages for your Facebook account, you can have as many as you can handle. YouTube has the ability to include links to other social media.

When I choose a Featured Blogger / Vlogger of the Week, I appreciate it when they include links to their social media accounts. If they don’t, or only include some links, I try to see if they have other social media accounts. For example, today’s Featured Blogger of the Week (post coming up in about 2 hours) – P Squared / Blue Whistling Thrush only linked to Facebook. I found what could be an Instagram account, but didn’t link to it as I wasn’t sure.
