In doing research for attractions for Kansas Tuesdays in Scott County or Ness County, I came across El Quartelejo (or El Cuartelejo) Ruins: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Quartelejo_Ruins. The ruins are north of Scott City. The museum is in Scott CIty.
Looks like I will be looking for the Scott County Historical Society and El Quartelejo Ruins/Museum.
Welcome to the official website of the Scott County Historical Society.
