Facebook, Sort of Down, August 28, 2019

Updated August 29, 2019 – still not working on Firefox.

I noticed last night that I couldn’t access Facebook on my laptop at two different locations; I only used Firefox to access it yesterday. It’s still down on my laptop using Firefox as of earlier today. Yet, I can access Facebook on my phone – the Facebook app and on my phone’s browser. I cleared cache, cookies, etc. closed the browser, ran CCleaner, shut down my laptop several times.

On a hunch, I tested my laptop a few minutes ago using a Firefox-based browser, Opera, and Google Chrome instead of Firefox. I could access it on Chrome, Opera, but not on the Firefox-based browser. I generally use Firefox as my primary web browser on my laptop. I have to use shut it down a number of times during the day, run CCleaner, to clear out the cache as Firefox tends to become a resource hog if left running a while.

I did a post on CCleaner a while back (June 2014) – How To Clear Your Web Browser Cache – Computer Tip.

Here’s the link to CCleaner download page (free and paid version) https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner; it’s also available on FileHippo and a few other download sites. I use the free version as it more than meets my needs.
