Pacific Paratrooper – Featured Blogger of the Week August 16, 2019

I decided to go with a blogger who has a military connection for this week’s Featured Blogger of the Week – Pacific Paratrooper: https://pacificparatrooper.wordpress.com/. Thank you to GP Cox for his military service.

From the blog – https://pacificparatrooper.wordpress.com/category/about/

As we venture back to the past for the Pacific War, there will continue to be eye-witness stories, the Farewell Salutes, occasionally a homeland episode and military humor. I may not supply all the resources for my posts, since as many as 5 or 6 may be used to verify the information of any given post. My bibliography has grown to 6 pages long and has not even been updated lately; also my own library has grown considerably since I first chronicled the war.

–snip–

Several things I like about his blog is the military humor and the Farewell Salutes as well as the numerous posts about the Pacific Campaign in World War II.

I have re-blogged some of his posts –

I thank you for sharing all this. My father’s service is not one he talked about much, so I was lucky to have an insight by way of his scrapbook and others in his division that shared the history.
