Still Having Major Online Access Issues August 11, 2019

Updated August 12, 2019 – was able to regain Wi-Fi access at my favorite Internet cafe.

Hoping to get it resolved soon. Waiting on some help.

Does the public library around you also have wifi?

    • Yes it does, but the closest one isn’t as close as I like, plus that branch opens late and closes too early as it’s not the main branch. It makes it not worth the trip. I have used it before if I was in the area since they allow you access using personal devices (laptops, phones, tablets) by signing in with your library card. Many activities, like Ancestry.com Academic Edition, require you be within Wi-Fi range of a library to use. A handful of things are available off-site.

I have considering going with a mobile hotspot as some of those aren’t that outrageous priced in terms of monthly fees. Granted, those tend to throttle speed to 2G once you hit the limit for LTE usage. However, I find 2G works semi-well much of the time. It has its moments and some of the devices cost enough to shop around.
