My wife watches these videos from to time and ask me to watch it with her. There’s some interesting pronunciations of places in the South!

    • I grew up in south Mississippi and visited New Orleans on occasion. Many of the French pronunciations were dropped long ago in the area, and some of the Cajun/Creole pronunciations would make a French person cringe in horror. That’s not counting the local variations where the natives in a town pronounce it one way, those from other parts of the state pronounce it a different way, and others pronounce it a third way.

Crazy. I served in the Marines with a bunch of Cajuns. Including one that they all say is the Cajuns of all Cajuns. What an accent I never heard of before until then! I’m from California so it was a culture shock lol
