I chose the Buzludzha Memorial House as this week’s Weirdness Wednesdays post. I have seen this architectural wonder before, but didn’t realize it had a a name as most of the links, videos, etc. tended to only highlight the weirdness of its shape, plus the massive amount of graffiti that has been added in the last two decades. I chose it today because I was looking on Atlas Obscura – Bulgaria’s Abandoned Communist Monument Gets a Lifeline: https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/buzludzha-monument-preservation-grant and this was one of the first things to pop up.
This monument is in pretty bad shape so don’t go exploring i.t without getting permission first from the appropriate source.
