Nature: Black bears – YouTube Video East Lake, North Carolina

I saw this on YouTube as I was searching for East Lake, North Carolina videos – Nature: Black bears – YouTube Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUxGQEXlWu8 (around 2:32 minutes long).

Some websites claim there are more black bears in the wildlife refuge near East Lake than residents of East Lake. I didn’t save the links I found and a quick search didn’t give me any evidence either way.

Population (Humans) of East Lake: https://northcarolina.hometownlocator.com/counties/subdivisions/data,n,township%20of%20east%20lake,id,3705590964,cfips,055.cfm

Total population: 184

Based on the above which appears to be from July 2018 and compared with https://www.fws.gov/refuge/Alligator_River/wildlife_and_habitat/black_bear.html, the bears may have the edge in population, depending on which number you accept

The estimated (bear) population is between 180 and 293.
