I get daily e-mails from the local newspaper, Wichita Eagle; most of the time I skim them. Today an item caught my attention – GoFundMe Campaign for a Local Restaurant: https://www-1.kansas.com/entertainment/restaurants/dining-with-denise-neil/article232562862.html. Before I noticed there was a GoFundMe campaign, I thought about contacting Denise and suggesting someone should start one.
Now I am big on crowdfunding, especially when it’s something local to where I live or have lived. I do not know the family who runs the restaurant, but I thought it was nice a regular customer started a GoFundMe to help them out. I am a regular customer at my favorite restaurant to the point where most employees know exactly how I want my order without me having to say anything.
Here’s the GoFundMe link from the newspaper article: https://www.gofundme.com/f/save-chico039s-mexican-restaurant-wichita-ks. It’s nice to see the local community getting behind this campaign.
If you have or know of a business in your area that may benefit from crowdfunding, it’s worth checking out.
