I know some people view their WordPress statistics (stats) on a regular basis. I avoid the stats for the most part as they honestly can be depressing, for me. However, there are a couple of stats I do look at – Followers and countries (technically IP addresses as some people use VPNs or similar means of hiding where they are visiting from).
For Followers, I will check out new Followers if they have a blog that’s easy to find. In some cases, I am able to find their blog even if it’s not linked to them. On rare occasions, I lose Followers.
For countries, I am curious as to where people are located. As an American blogger, United States tends to be the most views every day. I am not sure there has ever been a day where it wasn’t the top spot. For the next few spots, there seems to be a contest at the #2 spot – it varies, usually Great Britain, Canada, Australia, or India takes the spot. What gets my attention is when I notice a country or countries near the top that aren’t usually there. As I write this post, about 4 P. M. U. S. Central Time today, #3 is Portugal and #4 is Switzerland.
