I have one rule on choosing a blogger for Featured Blogger of the Week – it doesn’t matter how many posts they have made, how long they have been blogging, how many Followers they have, or anything else. Okay, so you may argue that’s more than one rule. I put a lot of thought into who to choose for the Featured Blogger of the Week. Sometimes it’s a blogger who has recently started blogging, but it can also be somebody who has been blogging for years.
A main reason for me choosing newer bloggers or those who don’t have a lot of Followers is to give them encouragement. Blogging can be a thankless job and part of my personality and attitude is to show thanks to those who take the time to blog. The same can be said for those who have been blogging for years. It’s also a way to let people know about their blog. That’s true if a blogger whose first post was yesterday or if they are on post #10,000.
