My primary cell phone is through Unreal Mobile – https://my.unrealmobile.com/. I purchased it last July (2018) as a friend told me about it. I was paying $15.00 USD / month which gives me unlimited talk and text with 2 GB LTE, unlimited 2G once I run out of LTE.
I rarely check my account online so imagine my surprise when I noticed my financial institution paid $17.99. No warning or notice. The downside is that changing my plan takes effect immediately. My plan due date was yesterday.
Saturday night I waited until 3 hours before the plan was going to be billed to downgrade the plan. New plan is $12.99 for unlimited talk and text, 1 GB LTE with unlimited 2G.
I am not a fan of companies that raise rates without warning. I am also not a person who likes it when a company raises rates because they can. I don’t know why they raised rates.
In the past with cable, I would cut services when they raised rates which tended to reduce my monthly bill as I cut more than the price increase. The cable company had a bad habit of raising my bill almost every year, often by $5+/month. I finally cancelled cable in December 2014 and gave up Internet from the cable company a few months later.
