I had missed the public opt-out default when I was reading through GEDmatch‘s Terms of Service (TOS) update because it is NOT mentioned there when I went to log-in. It was only after I chose the Click Here under Option #1

They encourage people to opt-in, but make the default opt-out. Maybe FamilyTree DNA (FTDNA) will soon follow suit.
