You are welcome. Thank you for posting it. I appreciate your posts as I learn something new in each one Many times I learn about something that wasn’t covered in my various military history classes.
My uncle was in the Coast Guard during World War II and was stationed in the Pacific, but he never talked about what he did. I was 4F when I tried to join the Air Force and later the Army, but my father (Air Force) and brother (Marines, later the Army) as well as a number of other family members served.
