Nashville, Tennessee BillionGraves Cemetery Event: May 18 – 19, 2019 8 A. M. – 2 P. M.

I found this on the BillionGraves blog today – Nashville, Tennessee BillionGraves Cemetery Event May 18-19, 2019 8 A. M. – 2 P. M:

On Saturday, May 18th and Sunday, May 19th from 8 am to 2 pm hundreds of volunteers are planning to meet at some of downtown Nashville’s most beautiful cemeteries to photograph gravestones with the BillionGraves app.

BillionGraves anticipates volunteers documenting 4 historic cemeteries that weekend: Mount Olivet, Calvary, Greenwood, and Mount Ararat-Greenwood West. This will be an amazing feat since the cemeteries encompass more than an estimated 300,000 gravestones.

The link includes more information about the cemeteries and some of the notables buried in each cemetery.

If you are in the area on May 18 or 19, you are invited to participate in the event. Also, 14 days after the photographs are taken, they will be available for transcription.
