via April 9, 1942 Angels of Bataan and Corregidor — Today in History. In memory of all those who were captured in the Philippines and had to endure the Bataan Death March.
I first noticed the April 9, 1942 Bataan date a while back when I saw this blog post: https://subliblog.wordpress.com/2018/04/09/april-9-1942-the-fall-of-bataan/.
You can find a variety of blog posts on WordPress about Corregidor: https://wordpress.com/read/search?q=Corregidor&focus=1.
I don’t recall the name, but I photographed a headstone where the epitaph included Bataan Death March survivor.
Thanks for the pingback. Yes, today is the Fall of Bataan. I always remember the date. It’s a big part of WWII history.

You are welcome. While I don’t have any close family who were there, several years ago I photographed a military headstone that included the epitaph Bataan Death March Survivor.
