I recently posted about HMS Nordkaparen Ship Museum as part of my ongoing Ship Museum series. I decided to follow-up with HMAS Castlemaine (J244) as the next in the series.
HMAS CASTLEMAINE (J244)
HMAS Castlemaine was one of sixty minesweeper/corvettes of the Bathurst class built during World War II in Australian shipyards as part of the Commonwealth Government’s wartime shipbuilding programme of which fifty-six were for the Royal Australian Navy.
Admission price (Australian Dollars): Adults $8, Children 4-16 yrs $4, Families (two adults & two children) $20. Children under 4 yrs free. All profits go towards the ship.
