This post is a result of this blog post I’m Back! — Meeple Mommathat I re-blogged earlier today.
Some suggestions to any blogger or vlogger who is having this issue. I have found a number of things useful when I am struggling to post. They may not work for others, but one can often find other methods to achieve similar results. I frequently read what other bloggers have done as a way to try and come up with something that will work for me. I developed this habit during my business courses in college as some professors and textbook authors made the point to find what works for you.
I started scheduling blog posts as a way of staying on top of my blog. Ideally, I prefer to have two full days scheduled although many days I don’t come close to this. Yesterday, I had previously scheduled all but the last two blog posts for the day. While I schedule, I do some posts that aren’t scheduled and may swap out a non-scheduled post for a scheduled post by moving the scheduled post to a later date. In my case, lack of a decent home Internet connection can affect my scheduling in addition to the highs and lows of bipolar. I compensate by writing up blog posts in a word processor on my laptop during those times and later schedule them when I have a better Internet connection elsewhere.
Another thing I do is to make a fair number of re-blogs or shares from other bloggers and vloggers. In some cases, I re-blog/vlog without comment. One blogger/vlogger I follow uses a mix of blogging and vlogging between her blog and her YouTube channel. I haven’t tried that yet, but it’s something I would like to do down the road. I mix the re-blogs / shares in among my posts. Another option here is to take what somebody else blogged about and give your take on it.
I haven’t started it yet, but I want to allow guest bloggers as soon as I figure out how to get it set up. I saw one blogger who has a sizeable number of regular guest bloggers that he schedules and he works his posts in around the guest bloggers. If you want to guest blog, please let me know.
My Weirdness Wednesdays series is the result of another blogger who developed his Wednesday Weirdness series from another blogger. I don’t have a theme for everyday yet, but I’m getting there, and on some days, I may have several themes.
