I was and still am a picky eater. I may try a food if I haven’t tried it. My nose and brain have an understanding – if my nose doesn’t like the smell, my brain won’t allow it in my mouth. Unlike many parents today, my parents didn’t do what my ex-sister-in-law does. She makes separate meals for each of her four children. My parents gave me a choice, I could eat what they fixed or do without. They usually had several items in a meal so I wasn’t going to starve.
