Twin Strangers YouTube Channel – link above: A great reason why you shouldn’t trust in using looks or photographs when trying to determine if somebody is related; same goes when trying to determine if two photographs are the same person. There are plenty of people who look at other people that are not closely related.
In my DNA and genealogical presentations, I always make the point to not rely on if somebody looks like somebody to determine if they are related. Years ago I had people comment on how much “my son” looked like me. The problem is I don’t have a son. I didn’t even know his mother when he was born so it’s highly improbable that I am the father. I am confident a DNA test would rule me out as well.
