My Test Run of Sending Someone Support Through Ko-fi

I have mentioned Ko-fi before: Have You Linked All of Your Social Media Sites to Your Blog?. I have a Ko-fi account, link is in my post above. I hadn’t checked out how it worked, and decided it was time to do so. I decided to send Ko-fi to somebody that I Follow on Ko-fi. Ko-fi has a free option and Ko-fi Gold, a paid option. The paid option is normally $9/month, but they are running a special where it’s $6/month or $59/year (amounts to two months free over the monthly price; which works out to $4.92/month). Gold offers some advantages – and I think it’s worth the upgrade which I will probably do at some point in the future.

When you click on sending Ko-fi to somebody, it gives you the option to send it in however many units you want. For regular Ko-fi accounts, each unit is $3.00. For Gold accounts, you set the amount from $1 to $100 and you can also call it something else (pizza, beer, etc.).

I chose the person I wanted to send Ko-fi. The person wasn’t upgraded to Gold. I went through the process and Ko-fi uses PayPal to send the payment. I checked with the person after sending it and payment was received. It was a smooth process.
