In my ongoing cemetery / graving websites series, I bring you the U. S. GenWeb Tombstone Transciption Project:http://usgwtombstones.org/. Here is the link for the different states: http://www.usgwtombstones.org/registry.html. For example, if you click on Kansas, it takes you to the Kansas county list: http://www.usgwtombstones.org/kansas/kansas.html. In many counties, you won’t get a complete list of the cemeteries. In some cases, you will only get a limited amount of information on cemeteries that are listed. In a number of cases, the links will be broken. Some cemeteries will have photos included, but others will only have transcriptions.
I use not only their Tombstone Transcription Project side of the website, but I also use the U. S. GenWeb Project side too. I sometimes find things cemetery related on a state’s GenWeb site that may not be included on the Tombstone Transcription side.
The main GenWeb site was listed #2 on the list I posted recently: The 8 Best Free Genealogy Websites of 2019 According to Lifewire. It has been showing up in many reviews over the years as one of the top free sites.
