My Jesus Birthday Movie List

Unlike most people, my Jesus Birthday Movie List is restricted to movies about the birth of Jesus, be it movies that only detail his birth, or movies that cover longer periods of his life after his birth. In trying to find a decent list online, my least favorite search engine came up with so many bad lists no matter how I tried to narrow the parameters to make it a huge waste of time. I don’t see how parodies or movies that either skirt blasphemy and heresy or actually commit serious amounts of both wind up as top lists stagger the imagination.
Some of these I haven’t seen so I may change my mind later, but here’s a start:

Jesus of Nazareth (1977)
Jesus (1999) not seen
King of Kings (1961)
The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965)
The Visual Bible: The Gospel of John (2003) not seen
The Nativity Story (2006)
Think I’m missing a few and some I haven’t included although they probably fit my parameters. I intentionally left some off as I believe they crossed the line in some major way.

Movies that aren’t and never will be included in my list are movies that happen around Christmas time, but have nothing to do with the birth of Jesus. For example, Home Alone or any of its sequels, A Christmas Story, Die Hard, It’s a Wonderful Life, any movies to do with Frosty the Snowman or Santa Claus or his reindeer. Most of these movies have nothing to do with Jesus, other than happening on or around December 25th.
