Update: see my newer blog post, First Round of November 2018 DNA Sales, for the price increase on Dante Labs and some new sales that came out today or are starting soon.
I was doing my daily update for DNA sales – Current October 2018 DNA Sales to be replaced tomorrow with the Current November 2018 DNA Sales post (scheduled for around 630ish P.M. U.S. Central Time); prices were current as of a few minutes ago. If you can hold out, there should be some good DNA sales during Black Friday/Cyber Monday (November 23rd/November 26th) for those not familiar with when they fall. You can sometimes get a good deal on EBay for many of the DNA tests. Always, and I do mean ALWAYS, register the test as soon as you get it to make sure there aren’t problems. This applies mainly to EBay and Amazon purchases as both sites offer great consumer protection if there are problems with the kits.
First, 23andMe is $69.00 on Amazon – https://www.amazon.com/23andMe-Ancestry-Personal-Genetic-Service/dp/B01LZ5K87Z/, but given Amazon’s frequent price changes, it may not stay that way for more than a day or two.
Next, AncestryDNA is on sale on Amazon – https://www.amazon.com/AncestryDNA-Genetic-Testing/dp/B00TRLVKW0 for $81.99. Amazon changes prices on AncestryDNA usually once, sometimes twice a day, so grab it while you can.
Dante Labs is having a sale on its website as well as some sales on Amazon. On its website, the following test is $399.00 (regular price $899.00, but usually on sale for $599.00) – https://us.dantelabs.com/collections/our-tests/products/whole-genome-sequencing-wgs-full-dna-analysis – Whole GenomeM: Whole Genome Sequencing with mtDNA – Full DNA Analysis for Genetic Diseases. On Amazon, there are two sales: 1) https://www.amazon.com/Dante-Labs-Sequencing-Healthcare-Professionals/dp/B07H99QBK8 sale price $399.00 which appears to be the same test as the one listed on Dante Labs website; 2) Dante Labs Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) for Healthcare Professionals, Sequence 20000 Genes, with Personalized Report, with Saliva Collection Kit – https://www.amazon.com/Dante-Labs-Sequencing-Professionals-Personalized/dp/B07DNJ7QWQ, sale price $349.00.
