Several DNA Book Reviews On GeneaJulia Blog

Disclaimers: I have not read the books, but I know Julia and value her opinion in this area. Among her many other exploits, she is the Librarian at Midwest Historical and Genealogical Society (MHGS), http://mhgswichita.org. I facilitate the DNA Special Interest Group (SIG) MHGS which meets the second Saturday of the month at 1 PM. I am also the Board Secretary of MHGS.

Julia’s reviews include a brief description of the book, followed by what she considers the good, the bad, and her takeaways about each book.

Julia’s first DNA book review, Genetic Genealogy: The Basics and Beyond by Emily D Aulicino, posted February 9, 2013 – http://geneajulia.blogspot.com/2014/02/book-review-genetic-genealogy-basics.html. ISBN: 1491840900

Julia’s second DNA book review of DNA and Family History by Chris Pomery posted February 14, 2014 http://geneajulia.blogspot.com/2014/02/book-review-dna-and-family-history-by.html. ISBN: 1550025368

Julia’s third DNA book review of DNA & Genealogy by Colleen Fitzpatrick and Andrew Yeiser posted February 16, 2014 http://geneajulia.blogspot.com/2014/02/book-review-dna-genealogy-by-colleen_16.html. ISBN: 9780976716013 This is her top recommendation of the six DNA books Julia reviewed.

Julia’s fourth DNA book review of Deep Ancestry by Spencer Wells posted February 17, 2014  http://geneajulia.blogspot.com/2014/02/book-review-deep-ancestry-by-spencer.html. ISBN: 1426201184

Julia’s fifth DNA book review of DNA USA: A Genetic Portrait of America by Bryan Sykes posted February 20, 2014 http://geneajulia.blogspot.com/2014/02/book-review-dna-usa-genetic-portrait-of.html. ISBN: 0871403587

Julia’s sixth DNA book review of Finding Family: My Search for Roots and the Secrets in My DNA by Richard Hill http://geneajulia.blogspot.com/2014/02/book-review-finding-family-my-search.html. ISBN: 9781475190830

If you are interested in purchasing any of these books, you can check out prices on your favorite bookselling site. I generally use FetchBook, http://www.fetchbook.info because it checks a large number of websites. This is not an affiliate link. In case you use .com instead of .info, www.fetchbook.com redirects to .info. I found the site several years ago. It does not include prices for e-book versions (Kindle, Nook, etc.). It works best with ISBNs, but you can search it using author or title. It works well with many of Amazon’s ASIN codes.
