New DNA Testing Company – YSEQ DNA Origins Project

I grew up with two parents who ran small businesses and as a result I have a special place in my heart for those starting up new businesses. In memory of my parents, I will occasionally highlight small businesses. I do not receive any form of compensation from these companies.

Thomas and Astrid Krahn started a new company, YSEC DNA Origins Project. Its initial focus is individual SNPs for Y-DNA. The goal is to expand to individual and panels of STRs. If they don’t offer a SNP, you can request it.

They are well-known in the DNA community. They ran DNA Fingerprint before it was acquired by Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) in 2006. Some of the work at FTDNA included the Geno 2.0 Project, Walk the Y (WTY), and BIG Y.
